Taylor is a young metal musician who achieves the incredible honor of meeting her idol, the allusive and infamous "metal-god" Theodore McKinnis. Like a painter meeting Picasso or a chef meeting Julia Child, she must prove her blood, sweat and tears are enough to gain his mentorship. But McKinnis, blunt and cynical, is a tough critic for any prodigy. Surprising then, when he agrees! The only problem is... he's a crackpot conspiracy theorist. Like a Big Foot truther, he is obsessed with finding the lost city of Atlantis. Government secrets, ancient technologies and intrepid adventures across the sea; Taylor's fantasy of the metal-god is shattered. From a badass musician to a lunatic dork. Taylor must now decide if her dreams of illustrious mentorship are worth the soul crushing embarrassment.
