Director’s Statement:
I found a deep connection to this film through my own daughter. Whenever we've had difficult moments or hard topics to deal with, my daughter has eventually just said, “Dad, let’s go for a drive.” No matter how late it was, we’d go. Sometimes we were able to talk in the car, and sometimes just driving was enough. In those moments, I realized how a car can offer a calming and safe space to share thoughts or just be silent — and still feel the presence of the other. This experience was a major inspiration for making this car scene between Tero and Henri into its own film.
