Aljoša Žerjal is a man who still observes the world with wonder and curiosity today, admires humans and nature, old masterpieces, architecture, fine arts, and music. A man who is always attentive to events, the social moment, his own roots and history, the history of people he meets on travels around the world. The focus is always on people, people in their everyday lives. Žerjal is never an external observer. He does not show postcards. In his films, palaces and ruins or landscapes are never predominant. Everywhere are people and their everyday lives. He does not view the world as just an external observer. First, he senses it, then he knows it, and then he films it.
