Anna Sandrini
Raised in the Julian Alps, a land of cultures and borders, she developed a strong interest in audiovisual language and cinema. After a specialized Master's degree in Philosophy from the University of Padua, she deepened her training with two Master's degrees in creative documentary and film editing in Barcelona.
Her initial film experience led her to navigate the rivers connecting London to Istanbul, filming a utopian journey across Europe's invisible borders. Over the years, she worked as an editor and camera operator for various productions between Italy and Spain, before dedicating herself to directing.
Her first documentary, AVENÂL, narrated the human history of the Predil Caves, revealing her ongoing interest in memory and oblivion. Her works have been selected by international festivals, garnering various awards and recognition.
